The idea behind DelhiPedia was to discover the best of Delhi, one video at a time. It covers city’s monuments and religious places to its markets and people; DelhiPedia takes Delhiites on an audio-visual tour of the capital – serving as an encyclopaedia for the residents of Delhi. It covers all aspects of the city, from heritage monuments, happy bazaars, thriving cultural scene, to platefuls of delicious food that bring Delhiites together.
A multi-award winning documentary filmmaker, Pandey has been awarded two President of India’s National Awards, 11 International Awards and numerous other accolades. In 2006, he was declared one of India’s Top Creative Future (by IIM-Bangalore and the British Council), and in 2009 he was invited as a ‘Young Global Leader’ to the Bucerius Summer School, Germany. His films have been showcased in over 170 countries and telecast on major broadcasters like Discovery Channel, BBC World and Doordarshan, to Al Jazeera, to Doordarshan and NDTV in India. Additionally, Pandey has been the Director of Riverbank Studio Pvt. Ltd. (2003-2013), Social Media Advisor for Centre for Global Health Research (2010-2012) and Independent Marketing Consultant for Children Film Society of India (2006-2007).
The Founder and Director of Future Bit Creative Labs Pvt. Ltd & CEO of Twenty Four Frames, Pandey has worked on seven campaigns that have been instrumental in changing the legal perspective in India. In addition to directing, producing and investing in documentary films, television and new media content production, Arjun is actively involved in different initiatives undertaken by government committees, including I&B Ministry, IFFI, Goa, to the centenary of Films celebrations advisory committee. He also volunteers as the head of Live to Love India (LivetoLove.org), a not for profit that has planted over a million trees in Ladakh and works on themes as wide ranging as education to women’s empowerment.
