Review: Colorbar Spotlight Illuminating Lotion

Best for a Pearly Glow, Matte Lovers Stay Away..!!

About the product: It is a sheer luminizing moisturizer with special light-reflecting pigments that veils the skin in a soft, pearly glow. Enriched with ‘Hyaluronic Acid’, it keeps skin thoroughly hydrated and plumped.

Packaging: Comes in a white rotating, sturdy dispenser jar. The pump is hidden inside the cap and the dispenser has to be twisted in order to pop out the pump. Thankfully, it dispenses just enough as you would need. Is perfect for travelling/ keeping in your pouch since chances of spillage are minimal.

Effects: Minimizes appearance of skin imperfections, plumps skin, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, gives a pearly glow, mulberry extract lifts up the dull skin, adds luminosity and radiance, makes skin soft.

Benefits: Is free from alcohol, sulphates, mineral oil and artificial colours

Review: Serves a double purpose of an illuminating lotion and a moisturizer! The consistency is just apt. It has a pearly pink tone to it and I just love the metallic pink sheen to it. As mentioned on the packaging, it does help to give a dewy finish. But if you’re a matte skin lover, then this is definitely not for you!

Colorbar Spotlight Illuminating Lotion is non-sticky and is absorbed by the skin quite quickly and stays on for long, giving your skin that fresh look even in the evening hours. I quite liked the product but feel that it is slightly steeply priced (Rs.950/30ml).  Although I am not a foundation person, but this is a light everyday makeup option that is best suited for me. A subtle sheen on the face is what I want and I found!

DC Tip: Apply on just-cleansed skin for a fabulous glow and dewy finish. Or mix with your favourite foundation for a glorious glow.
